Commands under WordArt tab

Available commands in the WordArt tab:

  • To insert new WordArt, go to the WordArt group, click the WordArt word art icon icon and select the new WordArt style in the opened WordArt Gallery dialog box.
  • To edit the selected WordArt, go to the WordArt group, click the Edit Textedit text icon icon and open the Edit WordArt Text dialog box.
  • To adjust the letters in WordArt to the same height, go to the WordArt group and select the WordArt Same Letter Heightletter height icon.
  • To change the text direction in WordArt (i.e. from horizontal to vertical text, or vice versa), go to the WordArt group and select the WordArt Vertical Text wordart vertical textoption.
  • To choose the alignment, go to the WordArt group and select the WordArt Alignment wordart alignmenticon. This includes the Left Alignment, Center Alignment, Right Alignment, Word Justify, Letter Justify and Stretch Justify options, shown as follows:

  • To choose one of the character spacing settings, go to the WordArt group and select the WordArt Character Spacingwordart character spacing icon. This includes the Very Tight, Word Art Tight, Word Art Normal, Loose, Very Loose options. The dialog box should look as follows:

  • To set the format for WordArt, go to the WordArt Style group and select the Old Tools option in the bottom right. This will open the Format Object dialog box where you can set WordArt color, line, size, layout, wrapping, etc.

  • To further change the style of the WordArt, go to the WordArt Style group and select WordArt Styles. Open the WordArt Shape list, shown below:

  • To adjust the positional relationship between WordArt and text, go to the Arrange group and select Wrapping Style. Choose a wrapping style you like in the Wrapping list.
